Join CAE’s Civil Aviation Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across training centers throughout the Americas.
As a Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring (QACM) Specialist, you will help maintain and continuously improve CAE’s integrated Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance Monitoring framework by conducting audits, supporting regulatory compliance activities, evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with training center leadership, regulatory authorities, the other Montréal-based QACM Specialist, and the broader Americas QACM team, you will contribute to a consistent and harmonized approach to quality assurance and compliance monitoring across CAE’s Civil Aviation network. Your work will directly support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer confidence, and the continuous improvement of our training operations.
Description
Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring
- Plan, conduct, and report Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring audits in accordance with the approved Compliance Monitoring Program and Global Audit Plan
- Verify compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, corporate standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures
- Identify non-conformities, assess risks, and support the development, implementation, and verification of corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct follow-up reviews to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and sustained compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, quality performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance
QACM System Oversight & Regulatory Compliance
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance Monitoring Systems (CMS) across assigned Civil Aviation training centers
- Assist with National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulatory audits, inspections, certification activities, and responses to regulatory findings
- Support the maintenance of regulatory approvals and certification compliance for assigned areas
- Maintain audit records, compliance documentation, performance metrics, and monitoring data within approved quality systems
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of QACM performance indicators and objectives
Regional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Montréal-based QACM Specialist and other members of the Americas QACM team to ensure consistency and harmonization of Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring activities across the region
- Coordinate audit planning, reporting activities, corrective action follow-up, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple training centers
- Share best practices, lessons learned, and regulatory developments to support a unified regional approach to quality assurance and compliance monitoring
- Participate in regional working groups, governance meetings, and quality initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders, customers, OEMs, and regulatory authorities on Quality Assurance, Compliance Monitoring, and Safety matters
- Support local governance meetings by providing QACM performance updates, compliance trends, and status of corrective actions
- Assist in root cause analysis activities and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are established and monitored for effectiveness
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Support the delivery of Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring awareness and training activities
- Support cross-functional Quality Assurance, Compliance Monitoring, and Safety Management initiatives
- Provide guidance to operational stakeholders on audit readiness, compliance monitoring, and quality management practices
- Promote a proactive culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the Civil Aviation business
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience identifying non-conformities, evaluating risks, and supporting corrective and preventive action processes
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, assessments, inspections, compliance monitoring activities, or quality management reviews in aviation or another highly-regulated industry
- Ability to interpret regulations, standards, procedures, and policies and assess compliance against established requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis and develop practical recommendations for improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English. Proficiency in English is required for this position, as it involves collaborating with international teams, presenting results to global stakeholders, and working with technical and regulatory documentation in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (about 10%)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and influence continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience within an Approved Training Organization (ATO), Flight Training Organization (FTO), simulator training center, airline, aviation maintenance training organization, ATC or aviation operations environment
- Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS), Compliance Monitoring System (CMS), Safety Management System (SMS), or equivalent governance framework
- Qualified Internal Auditor or formal auditing certification/training
- Experience supporting external audits, regulatory inspections, certification activities, or customer audits
- Experience with quality, compliance, workflow, or issue-management systems such as Centrik, JIRA, Q-Pulse, Enlighten, SAP QM, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, TCCA, EASA, ICAO)
- Experience supporting multi-site, regional, or international operations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment
