This unique Data Development and Administration Intern opportunity will allow you to participate in a program developing custom software applications designed for use by a larger team of engineers, scientists, and technical staff. Primary Responsibilities

  • The Data Development and Administration Intern will work in a small team environment developing and testing a range of custom web-based applications that use docker based services (web engine, database, authentication).
  • Project activities span the entire lifecycle from design, launching, production testing, to user support.
  • Selected applicants will apply their database design skills using the latest technology for web front-end solutions with backend database support.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Design and development of custom Postgres databases for web-based applications with integration of Java Script.
  • Assist with programming user interfaces to database for the custom applications.
  • Support Docker containerization of database and web services for rapid deployment and ease of upgrade.
  • Support verification testing, deployment, and user support.
  • Provide/author technical documentation, participate in design, code, and software peer reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and is a rising senior in the field of Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • At least two years of experience with Postgres roles and table design.
  • At least one year of experience in the administration of Linux systems.
  • At least one year of experience developing in one or more of the following:

    •             Linux software applications development

    •             Deployment of docker based services

    •             Postgres (or similar) database authentication schemes

  • Familiarity with software version control tools (i.e. Git, GitLab, etc.).
  • Ability to debug software and troubleshoot software related issues

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
