Distribution Sales Manager for DACH Region

Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Distribution Sales Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) who will work with our authorized Channel Partners to increase Hypertherm's market share. This is a great opportunity to manage and support our existing partners and develop new regional relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Define clear multiple-year strategies for Channel Partner expansion and optimization to maximize sales potential within the assigned territory. As a member of our EMEIA Distribution Team, you will create a territory operating plan and outline the steps for product differentiation and follow through.

  • Provide effective product demonstrations and education sessions to enable Hypertherm channel partners to expand their product service offerings and deliver end users with consistent messaging and Hypertherm's distinct value proposition.

Qualifications and experience:

  • An undergraduate degree or comparable experience with 5+ years of industry experience and 7+ years of sales experience

  • Experience with solutions selling, technical product training, and identification of process improvement opportunities

  • Independently motivated

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be a bridge-builder and impact and influence decision-makers

  • Analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Office

  • Strong sales process fundamentals with the ability to take a complete approach to the business with regard to its potential for growth

  • Ability to travel 60% throughout the DACH region, to our regional office in The Netherlands, and occasionally to the United States

Language requirement: Fluent written and spoken German and English

Physical Demands and Travel:

  • Travel: up to 60% per year

  • Location: Home-based - Located in Germany

  • Vehicle provided and up to 20% incentive

  • Ability to work independently from a home office

  • Located within 2 hours of a major airport

  • Ability to demonstrate plasma cutting systems
