The position of the Payment Posting Specialist is to post insurance and personal payments in a timely and accurate manner for all dental offices. Daily tasks and responsibilities are outlined below and subject to change upon short notice.
Job Duties:
  • Retrieve, document and distribute mail
  • Retrieve and store insurance Explanation of benefits
  • Research unidentified incoming payments 
  • Process insurance credit card payments prior to posting
  • Post payment to each dental office within 24-48 hours of retrieval
  • Properly add adjustment per insurance EOB 
  • Add adequate ledger notes regarding patient balances
  • Properly communicate denials, no pays and credits to the appropriate A/R specialist
  • Identify any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate A/R Specialist
  • Identify any incorrect fee schedules and communicate this to the appropriate team lead
  • Post calculate goal metric consistently
  • Have a minimum error posting record
  • Assist with payment reconciliation 
  • Assist with special projects and other assignments delegated by the Director 
Requirements
  • Clerical Experience
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Documents / Excel / Calendar)
  • Must be analytical and detailed oriented
