Supervisor Physical Therapy- Outpatient Therapy – Adults

The Physical Therapy Supervisor plans, coordinates and oversees the daily clinical activities and quality of services rendered to acute care in the Physical Therapy Department. In this role, the individual will develop and implement treatment programs to meet the needs of the patients. This position oversees on-the-job training, supports regulatory compliance, and selects appropriate educational needs of the service. This position performs daily referral management to guide operational efficiency, provides work direction and mentorship to area physical therapists, senior and clinical specialists. Supports Physical Therapy Manager to ensuring compliance to policies, regulatory and quality control programs, interviews prospective employees and performs performance evaluations. 

This position is a full time, day position Monday – Friday, with weekend and holiday commitments. This position is located at  NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • APTA Specialist Certification (ABPTS)
  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure required as a Physical Therapist by the State of New York
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Five years’ work-related experience
  • One year of experience practicing in the outpatient therapy setting, providing direct patient care to young adult, adult and geriatric patients
  • Demonstrate supervisory leadership skills including decision-making, conflict resolution, mentorship, accountability, interpersonal skills and adaptability.

$129,000-$170,000/Annual
