Job Description Summary
Applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis on patient populations ranging from pediatrics through geriatrics. Performs radiographic examinations at a technical level requiring a thorough understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, a high degree of technical competency, and the ability to exercise initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision. Additional Job Description
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
