FS Investments is seeking a mid-level attorney with three to five years of finance transactional experience to join its legal team in New York City.  The candidate should have a broad range of finance experience in representing all categories of participants in a variety of public and private financing transactions. 

The successful candidate is expected to:

• Assist with transactional work related to finance investments made by BDCs, CLOs, registered investment companies and private debt funds. 
• Work directly with the credit desk and external counsel to structure and negotiate finance transactions, including reviewing, drafting, and analyzing complex credit documentation. 
• Assist with ongoing work related to finance investments, including reviewing, and responding to amendments and consents.

Qualifications

• JD required, with strong academic credentials; NY Bar.
• 3-5 years’ experience working at a large law firm or in-house.
• Knowledge of finance law issues and extensive deal management and closing experience.
• Seasoned judgment, strong work ethic and high ethical standards.
• Efficient self-starter with a proven interest in professional growth.

Salary Range: $195,000 - $240,000/year

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. Also eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
