Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will assist the Service Line Manager in managing assigned projects, collaborate with Resource and Workshop teams for efficient resource allocation, and support the Business Line Manager in business development, including providing information for tendering and marketing. Additionally, the Project Manager will coordinate with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Cost Controller, and Finance Head during tender preparation, and work with the Party Chief and field team to ensure efficient and safe project execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well with various departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Assist the Service Line Manager in managing assigned projects, ensuring all project objectives are met within the specified timelines and budgets.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with Resource and Workshop teams to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Business Development: Support the Business Line Manager in developing new business opportunities. This includes providing necessary information for tendering processes and contributing to marketing efforts.
  • Tender Preparation: Coordinate with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Cost Controller, and Finance Head to prepare comprehensive and competitive tenders. Ensure all financial and contractual aspects are accurately addressed.
  • Field Coordination: Work closely with the Party Chief and field team to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely. Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.
  • Project Mobilization: Provide mobilization notices to all internal stakeholders to prepare resources for upcoming projects. Ensure all necessary preparations are completed before project commencement.
  • Project Monitoring: Oversee project progress to ensure adherence to Fugro project management guidelines. Implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with both internal and external clients. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns promptly.
  • Invoicing: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing according to agreed contract milestones. Work with the finance team to resolve any billing issues and ensure prompt payment.
  • Project Closeout: Ensure proper closeout of projects, including the documentation of lessons learned and feedback from stakeholders. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
