The Senior Manager, Global Enterprise Relationship Management Group will deliver Capital Group’s enterprise value to the firm’s most strategically important global clients in order to enhance firm-wide strategy and provide a superior client experience.

The Senior Manager, Global Enterprise Relationship Management Group will be responsible for working within a team environment that can respond with urgency to senior executives.  This associate will manage process, people, and clients.  They will be a problem solver who will come up with innovative approaches and who can learn fast on the fly.  They will demonstrate critical judgement, the courage to make bold decisions, and the ability to consider trade-offs.  This person will be trustworthy and will need to recognize when specific expertise is needed and be able to build a network to pull in experts – internally and externally – as appropriate.

External-Facing Responsibilities:

  • Represent the global, firm-wide Capital Group relationship and partnership with key global clients.  Define and share the value proposition of working with Capital Group.

  • Guide appropriate engagement strategies for the Capital Group Management Committee (CGMC) with key global financial institutions and strategic regional firms including driving the firm’s agenda and talking points for C-level client meetings.

  • Own, stage and execute high-impact strategic leadership engagements designed to discuss mutually important industry and business topics to materially advance relationships.

  • Drive and communicate Capital Group’s firm-wide initiatives and strategy with Enterprise Relationship Management / global financial institutions and strategic regional firms.

  • Work closely with relationship management counterparts at key global and regional client firms to ensure interests are aligned in driving forward a mutually beneficial agenda that accounts for both firms’ priorities, fosters top-of-the-house connectivity, and surfaces opportunities to introduce new lines of business.

  • Raise Capital Group’s profile among key global and regional clients as a trusted advisor, portfolio solutions provider, and a “first call” (for any and all needs, opportunities, and challenges).

  • Act as first line of defense for client feedback or non-standard product/service requests.

  • Communicate top-level messaging and feedback from global financial institutions and strategic regional firms internally at Capital Group.

  • Support and navigate new business conversations with key client firms.  Partner with Capital Group cross functionally to identify opportunities for revenue growth and assign resources in the firm towards those opportunities.

Internal-Facing Responsibilities:

  • Scale Capital Group’s firmwide strategic initiatives (new product launches, campaigns, new lines of business, etc.) with global and regional clients.

  • Influence and convey a vision for global growth of Enterprise Relationship Management to senior business leaders.

  • Partner with ERM and Executive Office (EO) associates in the US and Europe to deliver a consistent, global coverage model for each global financial institution and regional partner firm.

  • Represent ERM in region with CG’s regional management team and visiting CGMC members

  • Create a holistic centralized coverage model for each global financial institution and regional partners to ensure alignment and cross-pollination across all client channels (i.e., Institutional Retirement, Global Financial Intermediaries, Global Product Development, Marketing, Technology, Global Consultant Relations, Global Asset Class Services, Investment Teams, Investment Operations, etc.) with the goal of producing a comprehensive global business development strategy.

  • Deepen all teams’ understanding of the client’s short- and long-term business priorities, objectives, and pain points.

  • Execute formal relationship review and account planning routines.

  • Maintain informal regular dialogue on key initiatives/projects across the firm.

  • Assist in setting and executing strategy where Capital Group’s scale and breadth yield differentiated commercial results.

  • Develop and maintain detailed global financial institution organizational maps to identify strong relationships as well as gaps in connectivity.

  • Circulate and action takeaways from executive meetings, workshops or strategic leadership summits and help marshal resources to guide next steps.

  • Work with client group teams to disseminate notable news alerts and earnings updates on global financial institutions.

  • Be in front of structural or organizational changes at global financial institutions and regional partners and organize discussions on their impact to our partnership, and how to evolve our approach.

  • Empower local teams with global insights.

  • Partner with NACG/EACG on briefing documents and talking points ahead of key global financial institution meetings with CGMC.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
