Job Summary

Responsible for delivering projects that exceed clients’ expectations as the lead commissioning consultant with a holistic understanding of multi-discipline sustainable design issues. On larger projects, you will manage junior staff and be accountable for their actions and performance. On occasion, client presentations will be required in addition to assisting the leadership group in promoting the firm.

Out of province and international travel will be required on occasion.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver presentations in promotion of the firm
  • Chair and lead project meetings
  • Lead projects as assigned by the Team Leader
  • Conduct design reviews of MEP Documents
  • Prepare commissioning plans
  • Prepare commissioning specifications
  • Prepare commissioning network diagrams
  • Conduct reviews of MEP submittals
  • Prepare pre-functional checklists
  • Perform functional performance testing
  • Manage the commissioning process on behalf of the client
  • Manage project cost and seek additional funds if scope of work increases
  • Develop systems manuals
  • Review O&M documents and various reports
  • Mentor junior staff

Attributes & Skill Set:

  • 5 or more years experience in Commissioning
  • Excellent computer skills and project management skills
  • Engineering Degree or Diploma
  • LEED AP desirable
  • BCA, ASHRAE, NEBB or AABC Certification desirable
  • Building design experience in, building controls, M&E systems an advantage. Mechanical experience is a must have
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer or CET – registered or eligible for registration is highly desirable.
  • Commissioning – High Level of Knowledge and Expertise
  • Testing Adjusting & Balancing – High level of Technical Proficiency
  • Controls engineering – High level of Technical Proficiency
  • Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems design – High level of Technical Proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Team player with Leadership Potential


 

Additional Information

Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $82,000 - $123,000 annually for this position and local market.
