Operations & Billing Analyst

Position Description

The RSM Cloud & Managed Services Operations & Billing Analyst role is to ensure the efficient operation and delivery of monthly billing and third party licensing reporting for Cloud Services clients. The Operations & Billing Analyst works closely with the Cloud and Managed Services team, as well as RSM Infrastructure Leaders in order to properly reconcile monthly consumption billing using appropriate methods to ensure accuracy and meeting monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Client Billing:
    • Gather and prepare monthly billing for services rendered to clients.
    • Review billing discrepancies and work with clients to resolve issues promptly.
    • Work with clients on outstanding AR and proper payment arrangements.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of billing transitions and payments.
    • Ensure timely billing cycles to meet deadlines.
    • Review and approve client invoices.
    • Help identify, recommend, develop and implement appropriate processes for client variance reports, monthly tracking and reporting
  • Third-Party Licensing Reporting:
    • Gather and compile data for third-party licensing agreements and compliance reports.
    • Ensure timely reporting cycles to meet deadlines.
    • Audit third-party licensing and invoices to confirm accuracy
    • Prepare and update regular reports detailing licensing usage and associated fees.
    • Contribute to third-party independence reviews
  • Operational Duties:
    • Ensure operational procedures and practices are well defined, documented and consistently applied.
    • Ensure a high performance culture in the Operations team with a focus on team work, service excellence and ownership for resolving client issues.
    • Be capable of identifying and implementing change within the team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the operations ensuring appropriate and robust service management and review structures are in place.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology or related preferred and/or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, client service and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Client service and relationship management skills, with proven ability to build relationships with key decision makers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing across a number of projects and initiatives.
  • Understanding of basic financial and accounting metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years direct work experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to multi-task and understand multiple billing cycles.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and customer management skills.
  • Experience with Workday and SmartSheet a plus.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and enthusiastic.
