Your New Role:
The role of the Systems Engineer is to assist senior engineers in designing, building, and implementing solutions to meet Workplace Technologies business needs related to mobile devices, desktop hardware, and desktop applications. In addition, this Engineer will work closely with Workplace Support Technicians to provide Level 3 technical solution support and serves as a senior technical point of escalation for core end user IT systems and application technologies. The Engineer is responsible for assisting with documentation and knowledge transfer to appropriate support teams.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Operations and Administration (60%)

  • Administration of Jamf and Intune for Mac, Mobile, and Android endpoints
  • Build and prepare packages for automated deployment and self service
  • Troubleshoot Jamf and Intune infrastructure and resolve outages with vendor assistance
  • Work with Identity Team on creating and managing Conditional Access Policies
  • Follow security best practices and implement agreed baselines under the guidance of senior staff
  • Triage any outages/critical issues including providing resolution and RCA.

Escalations, Collaboration, and Documentation (25%)

  • Build and update documentation related to internal process and for support teams
  • Monitor company mediums (Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, email, etc.) for support requests and escalations and assist based on priority.
  • Review Service-Now tickets related to Jamf/Intune/Mac/Mobile and update in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand team needs and dependencies to better align technical solutions
  • Assist in developing and executing a methodology to evaluate, prioritize and monitor the success of the business processes
  • Accurately and clearly articulate strategic issues and provide relevant, logical options for solving them
  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaboration opportunities (including occasional travel).

Misc. (15%)

  • Actively stay up to date on the latest technologies and solutions, including internal/external learning and research.
  • Create endpoint reports for stakeholders as requested.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS degree or equivalent years experience of administering Jamf, Intune, or other MDM solutions for Mac and Mobile endpoints
  • Experience dealing with security incidents
  • Experience resolving outages (bonus for leading outage calls)
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
  • Ability to prioritize based on criticality
  • Comfortable with autonomy based on time zone
  • English proficiency required

The Nice to Haves:

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and occupational experience
  • Knowledge of and passion for technology
  • Comfortable in working in highly iterative and fluid environment
