VML Budapest is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing principles, a proven track record of success in managing client relationships, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and agency colleagues, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, becoming the go-to resource within the agency for account knowledge
  • Manage day-to-day account activities while proactively anticipating future client needs and identifying growth opportunities
  • Keep company leadership informed of key account developments and potential challenges
  • Proactively identify and address roadblocks, escalating issues to management as needed
  • Collaborate with planning partners and company leadership to develop effective communication strategies
  • Partner with the planner/creative director to ensure the quality of all creative output, taking shared responsibility for its excellence
  • Effectively communicate and sell creative ideas to clients
  • Oversee the development of accurate production timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Lead client discussions and negotiations, proactively alerting company leadership to potential issues
  • Manage the financial health of assigned accounts, ensuring timely estimates, billing, and cost control
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase revenue and deliver added value to clients
  • Monitor and support the team's effectiveness and well-being

What we will expect from you:

  • Proven ability to thrive in a complex stakeholder environment, effectively managing multiple projects and adapting to evolving client needs
  • Experience developing and executing successful creative campaigns within large team settings
  • Prior account management experience within a creative agency environment
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately scope, schedule, and budget complex creative and production projects
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with a strong attention to detail and precision
  • Proactive approach to emerging media and communication trends, with the ability to identify and leverage relevant creative opportunities
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills in both English and Hungarian
