We are seeking an adaptable and technically strong EIM Datawarehouse Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to design, build, and support scalable data solutions that power reporting, analytics, and operational systems across the organization. This role partners closely with EIM and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, high-quality data products and services. 

The ideal candidate brings deep SQL expertise, experience with an object-oriented programming language, and hands-on experience working in a cloud data environment. This individual must be comfortable balancing structured project work with ad hoc support requests and contributing to the development and ongoing support of our GraphQL-based data service. 

In This Role

  • Partner with EIM and business teams to design, develop, and maintain datasets, databases, and data interfaces for reporting and analytics 
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implement scalable, maintainable data solutions 
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, procedures, and transformations 
  • Design and support data models and database structures to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability 
  • Develop and maintain supporting tools, services, or integrations using an object-oriented programming language 
  • Assist with the build-out, enhancement, and support of the organization’s GraphQL data service 
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests, investigations, and rapid-turnaround business needs 
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate solutions and ensure data integrity 
  • Maintain and enforce data standards, governance practices, and development protocols 
  • Monitor and improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency 
  • Promote reusable, well-documented solutions and minimize non-standard approaches 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities to improve data accessibility and analytics capabilities 
  • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for maintainability and knowledge sharing
  • Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications

 The Ideal Person

  • 3+ years of experience in database development, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles 
  • Strong SQL expertise, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning 
  • Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or similar) 
  • Hands-on experience working in a cloud data platform environment (Azure preferred) 
  • Experience building or supporting data pipelines, integrations, or reporting datasets 
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions 
  • Comfortable balancing planned project work with ad hoc or fast-turn requests 
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills 
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs or service-based data access layers 
  • Experience with Power BI, Analysis Services, or other BI/analytics platforms 
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices 
  • Experience working in a supply chain, logistics, transportation, or operations-focused organization
