About the Role: Automotive Electrification Strategist and Customer Engagement Manager

The Team:

S&P Global Mobility strives to strengthen the Automotive Planning Solutions team in the Americas and is seeking an experienced professional regarding long-term electrification planning, disruption impact assessment and customer engagement management in the automotive industry.

The core team is based in China and Germany. The wider team is based in all major vehicle sales and production markets globally. The people to work with on a daily basis are located in the Detroit and Boston areas as well as in Mexico City, where the wider team has several new joiners, so that there will be a local group of colleagues.
 

Responsibilities and Impact:

Sales-based powertrain (SBPT) forecasts have met customer needs. We have an established customer base in USA and Canada and we are looking for local staff to manage customer relationships, understand changing customer needs and be aware of latest customer questions. The new hire will be responsible to identify changes in the market which need to be reflected in the forecast, to work with sales, production and powertrain forecast analysts to align forecast story and required changes. Prepare customer presentations of forecast results and support the sales team to renew contracts and to win new business.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

Work experience of at least 3 years at an OEM NSC in the Americas in a relevant sales planning, product planning or strategy planning role. Alternatively, work experience at a consulting company with focus on automotive would be suitable as well.

Passion for automotive industry topics, future trend analysis, and developing innovative solutions.

High social competence and cooperative team play with individual contribution, leading by example and guiding international subject matter experts with unique competencies.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as external and internal project structuring and management

Strong communication skills, especially regarding the convincing presentation of service approaches and project findings to customers in English language

High degree of personal integrity, motivation, and commitment to deliver quality on time.

Right to Work Requirements:

In this role, the person needs to have the right to work in Mexico and to have no restrictions to travel to the US and Canada. A right to work in the US is not mandatory.

Return to Work:

In this position, working with colleagues in various American and global locations is required – more than with colleagues in Mexico City. Therefore, working from home is possible. However, to get connected to the company, it is recommended to spend most of the time during the onboarding phase in the office and at least 2 days per week afterward.
