Job Summary

This position will be responsible of executing the day-to-day Quality CQMS tasks for the facility which involve a proactive fast response to assembly lines related disruptions as well as an accountability to react upon Quality defects to mitigate time and cost impacts. Performs advanced inspection and audits to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream.

  • Interacting with manufacturing, operations, design, etc. team members to determine root cause of quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventive action are implemented.

  • Ensure Scrap and DPU metrics meet goals by developing quality checklists inspection, training inspectors to detect defects and understanding of quality specifications.

  • Conduct measurement systems analysis; gathering, analyzing and communicating quality and manufacturing data.

  • Coordinates various Quality training programs.

  • Participate in internal/external CQMS Audits.

  • Knowledge of CAV to perform/assists internal/external audits.


Education requirement:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

This position requires intermediate proficiency in English.


What skills will you have:

Quality Management

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Minitab.

  • Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, AQE.

  • Knowledge of CRIO Model, Teamcenter or 3D software

  • Previously worked with value stream quality metrics: PPM, FPY, BIQ F/N/M, DPU.

  • Practical knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, and MSA.

Collaborating:

  • Advanced ability to participate in productive collaborative processes.

  • Under guidance, it drives initiatives for collaborative meetings.

  • Supports communication of shared objectives with diverse groups.

Problem Solving

  • Root Cause Analysis: Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish-bone Diagram, etc.

  • Effectively ensures that implemented ICA & PCA are communicated and understood by all levels of the value stream.

  • Manage Stop to Fix meetings with internal team to review quality issues.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.

  • Proactively continuously looking for a solution.

  • Seeks new ways of doing things.

  • Easily cope with day-to-day frustrations, adversities and uncertainties.

Effective Communications:

  • Ability to transmit effectively a message to multidisciplinary team, which involves sharing Quality (defects, issues, etc.) and Cost metrics (scrap/base hour).

The best candidates will also have:

  • Knowledge of Power BI, statistical data.

  • CQMS processes (CAV, Value Stream Certification, Deviations, PCNs, etc.)

Additional information:

  • Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, MX.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, (subject to changes; availability for shift changes, weekend coverage: one weekend per month based on staff rotation)

  • This position is on-site.

  • <10% of working time will be domestic & international travel.
