Marsh is looking for a brilliant and talented candidate to join our Mercer Marsh Benefits Team dedicated to the SME Segment as a Sales Professional based in Milan.

What can you expect?
You will work with the SME sales leader and join a team of insurance professionals equipped with powerful analytics and market insights, who help clients identify, quantify, and manage exposures, thereby reducing the total cost of their people risk.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Identify, prospect and qualify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, networking and market research; participate in sales campaigns;
Prepare and deliver calls, sales presentations, and commercial offers to SME clients;
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and onboarding;
Build a trusted relationship and serve as contact for general Client Executives and Office Managers
Collaborate closely with internal teams including account management, underwriting, client serviceto ensure effective delivery and high client satisfaction;
Understand client needs, challenges and risk profiles to position appropriate solutions and services;
Attend and actively engage in industry events and conferences to build a professional network;
Maintain accurate records of activities, pipeline and forecasts in the CRM system.
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics, Law or similar;
2-5 years of working experience, preferably in sales/business development roles in insurance companies or brokers;
Experience in selling services to small and mid-sized companies;
Proven ability to manage the fully sales cycle, from prospecting to closing; Knowledge of Employee Benefits insurance solutions would be an advantage;
Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication skills; and strong listening skills;
Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English;
Disciplined approach to sales planning, forecasting and reporting;
Results-driven mindset with resilience and persistence;
Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
