The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Associate to join our Equities Middle Office team. This team is responsible for building scalable and efficient trade support solutions and offering our investment teams expertise that drives the evolution of our Firm’s platform and the production of our portfolio strategies.

 

What you’ll do 

In this role you’ll be responsible for full trade lifecycle management, assisting the trading desk with bookings, allocations, daily reconciliations, T-0 matching and affirmations, and settlements and clearing for a broad range of asset classes. You’ll work closely with the Trading, Portfolio Managers, Fund Accounting, Technology and Risk teams to ensure accurate corporate action processing, derivative expiry management, and support on P&L inquiries as well as contribute to the overall enhancement of our platform.

 

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related degree
  • 4-8 years’ experience in Operations in a Middle Office/Trading Assistant capacity; buy-side experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge with global equities and equity-linked instruments, with OTC derivatives a plus
  • Strong understanding of non-trade activity, including crosses, conversions, transfers, and corporate actions
  • Expert fundamental knowledge of the full life cycle of a trade, from trade capture to allocations, reporting, clearing/settlements, P&L, and financing considerations
  • Hands on experience supporting EMS, PMS, and T-0 matching platforms, and various messaging protocols such as FIX. Enfusion experience would be a plus.
  • Experience driving and coordinating multi-functional initiatives, both large scale and tactical
  • Capable of setting priorities and carrying multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a global setting
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a track record of delivering results and contributing to strategic initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with an aptitude towards client service
  • Enjoys working with people as part of a global team, who challenge you and make you better at what you do
  • Advanced Excel skills – vlookups, pivots, etc.

We’d love if you had:

  • Experience with SPACs, PIPEs, and working with Transfer Agents
  • Prior hands on experience working with Separately Managed Accounts / External Investment Advisors
  • Experience with Macros/VBA or Python/SQL, and AGILE familiarity a plus.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $135,000 and $160,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
