Our Business Banking division serves over 10,000 clients in the medium to large business segment across Australia. These clients have complex financial needs (lending up to $50M) and turnover between $30M and $150M. Your impact
Following an internal promotion, we have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Senior Associate.
Our team is customer centric, with a laser focus on speed to market and enjoy flexible working arrangements. Our customers reside within the Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism sectors. As a key member of the Relationship Management team, you'll analyse risks and opportunities in lending to new and existing clients. You'll also attend meetings with Relationship and Senior Executives, offering vital support to help us achieve our goal of being the #1 Business Bank.

As a Senior Associate, you will be passionate about customer service and focused on achieving our goal of being number 1 in client satisfaction. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain exposure to sophisticated Corporate Banking clients/deals with a solid and successful business.

Your role will involve

• Financial modelling and analysis relating to Business and/or Commercial Banking clients.
• Prepare credit submissions for new facilities and coordination of deal execution through documentation and funding.
• Manage the portfolio's data quality, compliance and reporting requirements such as pipeline leads, calls, contacts and revenues versus plan.
• Performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing clients, and reporting of client financial and operational performance to Risk Management.
• Foster strong working relationships with the Client Service Centre, Risk Management, Global Markets, Banking Products, and Specialist teams.
• Structure and clearly articulate the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks.

Some of the key capabilities & experience we're looking for include:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Have client service experience, ideally in a Commercial or Business banking environment.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and ideally have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience.
• Strong credit writing and commercial acumen – particularly in financial analysis of balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow forecasting and unsecured lending.
• A tertiary business/finance and/or commerce qualification would be highly regarded.
