Position Summary:

The Manager of Desktop Support, in collaboration with Site IT Leadership and Global Infrastructure & Security teams, is responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for endpoint management services and solutions—leading technical and functional teams to enhance end-user computing and manufacturing support while owning services such as endpoint and asset management, lab and shared computing environments, virtual desktops and applications, remote assistance, endpoint backup, OS patching and migration, and software packaging and distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft MECM (SCCM) and Intune environments; experience with JAMF Cloud and Mac device management is a plus.
  • Maintain strong expertise in enterprise environments, including MECM/JAMF Cloud and Windows/Mac OS updates.
  • Ensure standardized desktop images with up-to-date patches and services.
  • Lead end-to-end device lifecycle management, including refresh cycles, upgrades, and evaluation of new hardware models.
  • Apply all security and driver updates consistently to meet compliance requirements.
  • Oversee QA testing for new laptop/desktop hardware, including evaluation, testing, and deployment of client-facing applications.
  • Provide Level 3 support for escalated tickets, including manufacturing-related incidents.
  • Assist with desktop software deployment and policy management.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of related IT domains such as networking, servers, voice, email, and audio-visual systems.
  • Own the IT/OT support escalation process, ensuring SLA/OLA compliance for response and resolution times.
  • Drive site incident ticket review processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in IT/OT support or endpoint management, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing endpoint systems (Windows & macOS), device lifecycle, and compliance enforcement.
  • Strong background in service management, including SLA/OLA governance and escalation handling.
  • Experience in QA testing, hardware evaluation, and software packaging/distribution.
  • Exposure to manufacturing support environments is a plus.
  • Experience developing / implementing standards, processes, and procedures
  • Experience imaging and supporting Windows/Mac desktop operating systems
  • Experience with quality assurance of PC images and software deployments
  • Experience with desktop management tools and concepts
  • Experience working with software deployment and inventory systems
  • Experience working with Dell/Apple desktop hardware
  • Experience working with Microsoft/IOS operating systems and applications
  • Experience working with Active directory in a multi-domain forest a plus
  • Experience with email and mobile device management
  • Experience working flexible hours and on call 365x24x7
  • Strong technical knowledge on all supported application & hardware
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in independent functioning
  • Ability to accomplish tasks without supervision
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Experience working with virtual / remote staff members
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to take initiative and lead projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within an Agile and ITIL models.
  • Experience leading multiple cross-functional projects.
  • Working knowledge of Okta and SSO solutions.
  • JAMF/MECM Certifications a plus.

Travel Required:

  • Up to 25%
