What you'll do:

  • Monitor daily transaction reporting flows across various regulatory regimes such as MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC, SBSD, CSA, and HKMA to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise front office activities by maintaining oversight of onboarding processes for SFTR and ensuring efficient operational flows between departments.
  • Resolve rejections and failures promptly by raising change requests for system reconciliations between source systems and trade repositories or approved reporting mechanisms.
  • Support the production of management information by preparing detailed dashboard reports that provide insights into operational performance and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain comprehensive issue logs while tracking potential regulatory breaches and escalating concerns as necessary to uphold compliance standards.
  • Oversee outsourced tasks by coordinating with external partners to ensure service quality aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry updates by participating in committee meetings and disseminating relevant information throughout the organisation.
  • Engage actively in regulatory change projects by contributing your expertise to remediation plans aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform control functions diligently by supporting the supply of management information for formal committees and ensuring completion of daily controls to minimise operational risk.
  • Drive system testing initiatives and champion process improvement efforts that streamline workflows while reducing errors or inefficiencies.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated product knowledge spanning multiple asset classes including rates, foreign exchange, credit products, bonds, exchange-traded derivatives, and equities which enables effective oversight of diverse transaction types.
  • Proven reconciliation experience using platforms such as UnaVista 3 Way and Intellimatch ensures accurate alignment between source systems and reporting mechanisms.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel (including VBA)—empowers you to analyse data sets efficiently while producing clear documentation for management purposes.
  • Excellent written communication skills evidenced by your ability to prepare technical summaries, escalation notes, management documents, and other essential reports tailored for varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with core operations systems such as Murex supports your understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle processes within large financial institutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade and transaction reporting requirements across multiple international regimes positions you as a subject matter expert within the team.
  • Experience liaising effectively with stakeholders from legal, compliance, technology, project management, audit, risk management, or regulatory assurance backgrounds fosters strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities allow you to identify root causes quickly when addressing complex regulatory issues or system failures.
  • A structured approach combined with excellent attention to detail ensures all work is completed accurately even under tight deadlines or high-pressure situations.
