What you will be doing:
The National Solution Vice Presidents will play a critical role in advancing the growth and retention of Premier’s ‘go-to-market’ integrated solution domains: a) care transformation; b) margin improvement; and c) digital supply chain. Each National Solution VP will be responsible for leading the following activities:
Sales cycle support (growth) – including lead generation, demos/subject matter-related sales presentations, contracting and pricing support
Renewal support (retention) – including value alignment, demos/subject matter-related presentations, contracting and pricing support
Customer references and competitive intelligence - Support customer references, use case development, competitive intel, working with the portfolio management team to ensure key collateral is current and aligned to solution sales strategy
Align with business unit leadership – Collaborate and serve as the commercial dyad partner with Premier Performance Services P&L leaders to support activities including but not limited to capital budgeting, product development, and broader business segment strategy to ensure alignment on the most current intel from the market and voice of customer.
People leadership – In addition to supporting retention and sales activities, the National Solution VP will also be responsible for managing National Program Director(s) who will support scaling the retention and growth activities of the National Solution VP. Where applicable, the National Solution VP will also manage the Product Excellence team supporting member value engagement and other activities aligned with delivering return on investment for the aligned solution domain.
Ultimately, the National Solution VP will be critical leader in our matrixed enterprise sales organization supporting our ‘go-to-market’ strategies for the key solution domains across all regions. Their customer base will consist of both existing member accounts as well as ‘new logo’, green space accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Cycle Support (Growth):– 30%
Responsibility for partnering with the regional sales team to support and manage critical aspects of the sales cycle for their specific solution domain including but not limited to lead generation, demo and subject-matter driven presentations, contracting and ensuring smooth transition to implementation teams.
Renewal Support (Retention): 30%
Responsible for partnering with the sales and account management teams to ensure successful adoption and retention of tools and services aligned to their respective solution domain. Activities include but are not limited to value alignment, demos and other value-added presentations, and renewal contract support.
People Leadership-20%
In addition to supporting retention and sales activities, the National Solution VP will also be responsible for managing National Program Director(s) who will support scaling the retention and growth activities of the National Solution VP.

Customer References and Competitive Intelligence:– 20%
Support the development and maintenance of customer references, business cases, and market/competitive intelligence in direct collaboration with the portfolio management team.
Business Unit Alignment:– 10%
Collaborate directly with Premier P&L leadership providing voice of the customer (VoC) as well as supporting the capital and operational budgeting processes, product development and enhancements as well as other business unit related strategies and decision-making.
