Job Description Summary:

Role Purpose

The Senior Director, PACS, GB&I is a critical enterprise leadership role, accountable for shaping and advancing CocaCola’s public policy, sustainability, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement agenda across Great Britain & Ireland—one of our most strategically significant and externally visible markets.

Operating at the intersection of policy, society, sustainability, and reputation, this role defines how CocaCola shows up with government, regulators, industry bodies, NGOs, media, communities, customers, and consumers. The mandate is to strengthen the system’s longterm license to operate, anticipate and navigate regulatory change, and enable responsible, sustainable growth across GB&I in alignment with Europe OU priorities and commercial ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Public Policy & Regulatory Leadership

  • Define and deliver a forwardlooking GB&I public policy strategy aligned to business priorities, regulatory risks, and longterm licensetooperate needs.

  • Lead highimpact engagement with national and devolved government bodies, regulators, and trade associations, representing The CocaCola Company with clarity and credibility.

  • Anticipate political, fiscal, and regulatory developments and translate them into clear risk/opportunity assessments and strategic choices for senior leadership and the broader system.

  • Shape and advocate policy positions on priority issues—including packaging and circularity, nutrition and sugar reduction, sustainability and climate, responsible marketing/advertising, and wider industry regulation—grounded in evidence and consumer impact.

Corporate Reputation & Communications

  • Set and execute integrated external communications strategies that protect, strengthen, and differentiate CocaCola’s reputation in GB&I.

  • Serve as a senior spokesperson, ensuring culturally resonant, timely, and valuesled messaging with media, stakeholders, consumers, and communities.

  • Lead issues and crisis management with discipline and speed, providing strategic oversight on highprofile topics.

  • Partner closely with internal communications to inform and inspire employees, building pride and advocacy for our purpose, sustainability agenda, and commercial strategy.

Sustainability & Social Impact

  • Guide the design and delivery of GB&I sustainability initiatives aligned to climate goals, responsible marketing, packaging circularity, and community impact programmes.

  • Collaborate across bottling partners, supply chain, and crossfunctional teams to operationalise commitments and embed sustainability into decisionmaking and commercial plans.

  • Build scalable partnerships with NGOs, industry bodies, municipalities, and community leaders to deliver measurable environmental and social outcomes that matter locally and for our system.

Stakeholder & System Leadership

  • Build and sustain trusted seniorlevel relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, NGOs, academia, media, and community leaders across GB&I.

  • Represent CocaCola in priority industry forums, shaping debate and advocacy on issues critical to the system’s resilience and growth.

  • Champion innovative engagement models that connect policy, customers, consumers, and communities—linking external affairs to portfolio, packaging, and routetomarket choices.

People & Enterprise Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a highperforming PACS team, fostering capability, cohesion, and shared accountability across the market.

  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior executives, providing counsel on the external environment, public positioning, and complex stakeholder dynamics.

  • Partner closely with bottling partners to ensure alignment on policy positions, external messaging, and sustainability priorities that support system and customer value creation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in public policy, government affairs, sustainability, and/or corporate communications within a major corporation, consultancy, or government institution.

  • Deep understanding of the GB&I political and regulatory landscape, including Westminster, Holyrood, Cardiff, and local authorities.

  • Proven ability to shape and influence public policy agendas and manage seniorlevel government relationships.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in media relations and highimpact issue management.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, reputation management capability, and sustainability expertise.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing crossfunctional teams and influencing senior stakeholders across a complex system.

What We Can Do For You

  • A pivotal enterprise leadership role in one of CocaCola’s flagship European markets, shaping our longterm license to operate and reputation.

  • A platform to deliver meaningful societal, environmental, and commercial impact at scale—aligned to our purpose and Europe OU growth ambitions.

  • Exposure to senior leaders across Europe OU and the global system within a collaborative, values driven, and high performance culture.

  • The opportunity to lead in a complex, fast evolving external environment where strategic thinking, judgment and leadership truly matter.
