Position Summary
The Supplemental Benefits and Directed Spend team at CVS is one of the fastest growing business units in the enterprise and is uniquely situated at the center of our retail and healthcare businesses. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Supplemental Benefits and Directed Spend to join our team in an essential role as CVS expands its offerings in this space, which includes the following businesses: OTC Benefits, Rewards, Targeted Kits, HSA/FSA, & SNAP/EBT. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and able to excel in a wide variety of areas – including client facing responsibilities, data synthesizing and analytics, internal/external stakeholder management, and retail assortment strategies.  Furthermore, the ideal individual should be self-motivated, demonstrate executive presence, and be able to act as a strategic thought partner to both enterprise leaders and external clients. In this role, the Senior Manager, Supplemental Benefits and Directed Spend will work cross-functionally with our inventory, supply chain, retail IT, digital product, marketing, CMX, merchandising, and Store Operations teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with directed spend ecosystem partners and clients to build short and long term strategies that align with business and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in analyzing current operational workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing robust process improvements that reduced costs and increased productivity.
  • Utilized advanced analytics and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, resulting in enhanced service delivery
  • Built strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to align operational strategies with organizational goals, ensuring buy-in and support for optimization efforts
  • Successfully managed large-scale transformation projects, guiding teams through change while minimizing resistance and fostering a culture of adaptability and innovation
  • Distill and communicate complex concepts into salient opportunities, influencing across and up through a matrixed organization.
  • Drive innovation based on analytics and insights, market trends, competitive landscape, program gaps and white space opportunities while leveraging strong business acumen in retail, health care, technology, or other related fields.


Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Retail Category Management, Retail CPG, or Management Consulting / Investment Banking / Private Equity
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General Manager experience with strong business acumen and functional understanding across marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Omni-channel experience
  • MBA from a top tier institution


Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
