The Planning Lead is responsible for strategic liaising between the Internal JSC customers and external manufacturing sites. They strive for the global site planning management of biologic products manufactured in external suppliers at multiple nodes. They define, measure, analyze, and implement planning controls and processes to ensure base business, launches, long term, and individual's goals are aligned with JSC strategic objectives. The success of this role is measured by timely deliveries of orders, which meet target inventory levels and maintain continuity of supply to our patients within strategic, open-mind, innovative and End to End approach. Key Responsibilities
Set up and run business plan considering operations efficiency, inventory analysis, SLOB risk and customer service while maintaining accurate stock levels across the network of distribution centers and external sites.
Meet supply agreement terms and communicate forecast and priorities to the external sites, including event planning while ensuring accurate set up to support NPIs and other initiatives.
Follow global monthly planning routines to deliver plans to plants in OMP and support integrated business planning by allowing plants to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right capacity, products, and schedules.
Proactive identification of issues that may impact supply, handle short- and long-term planning activities/processes and day-to-day planning, QA, and customer issues, as well as support events and escalations.
Track and report key performance indicators and ensure action plans in place for business improvement purposes.
Represent Planning on Virtual Management teams and on joint forums with external partners and cultivate partnership and a collaborative culture by living into our Credo.
Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent University degree is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Experience in Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, or related function
Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
Ability to prioritize initiatives/issues, effectively communicate across organizational boundaries through leadership by influence & negotiation skills to build and cultivate internal and external relationships
Preferred:
Experience with one or more of the following processes: master production schedule process, inventory management, scenario analysis, sales and operations planning, and/or Planning Systems (e.g., SAP, APO/OMP)
Supply Chain Certification (APICS) and/or Lean Certification
Experience in Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industry
Knowledge/ exposure to advanced digital capabilities (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
Other:
Requires the ability and flexibility to accommodate global work schedules when needed
Requires ability to travel up to 10% domestically
