JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated project manager for our assurance practice’s system of quality management (SOQM).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Partner strategically with assigned internal clients which will mainly consist of national office teams that work with the firm’s assurance SOQM. Provide project management coordination and assistance in execution of complex short and long-term projects, simultaneously. Partner with multiple groups and structures across the organization to collaborate on the best productive outcome.
  • Generate and execute project plans effectively utilizing project management tools including Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel. High level of organization and project management skills are required.
  • Consistently and accurately review and maintain documentation to identify, evaluate, scope, plan, monitor and follow up on active projects.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to provide the appropriate stakeholders with the status of projects and key initiatives on a routine basis.
  • Draft written communications and reports which may include distribution to internal and external parties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • Facilitate change management planning and support for the execution of new projects and programs.
  • Operate in a self-directed manner, identifying and addressing risk mitigation, process improvement, and support needs affecting the successful delivery of projects.
  • Stay up to date with all relevant quality management and professional standards relevant to the firm’s SOQM as well as other relevant standard information pertaining to projects under supervision. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related area or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading or coordinating significant efforts amongst a large team
  • Experience managing significant projects
  • Understanding of audit services
  • 4+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment, in or supporting the audit practice.

Preferred Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • CPA or CA Certification
  • Audit Supervisor or Audit Manager experience
  • PMP Certification

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
