Job Description Summary

Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in manufacturing and CNC machine operation. CNC programming experience preferred

Job Description

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers (ME’s) in every aspect of machining operations
  • Work with the tool crib attendants closely and provide emergency stand in support as needed
  • Work in direct relationship with all parties involved.  Should the need arise to cover production, assist Shift Leaders, or any other aspect of business conducted at Tekfor USA, MET must do so in accordance with prior approval/direction from the Machining  Supervisor.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain open communication with all departments
  • Investigate and develop cost-saving initiatives and continuous process improvements
  • Know and understand IATF 16949:  Tekfor Quality Policy and Procedures
  • Support any Production Engineering function when required
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
  • Perform all housekeeping duties including any 5S tasks
  • Make minor CNC program edits
  • Perform machine setups/changeovers
  • Assist in Continuous Improvement and CPAR activities as assigned
  • Completes all required documentation and ensures their accuracy and timeliness of completion
  • Teach and troubleshoot robotics as required
  • Support operators to achieve safety, quality and production targets
  • Train other employees as assigned
  • Assist other support departments as needed

Required Skills and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED and/or technical trades training in CNC operation
  • Must have good attendance and behavioral record
  • Must be shift flexible, including weekends as required
  • Ability to work in multifunctional teams
  • Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate above average troubleshooting skills
  • Negative pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Good attendance
  • Ability to work well with others
