Duties and Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facility and surrounding grounds. This role supports the overall operations by ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors.
- Custodial Duties: Clean and service the break room, restrooms, front offices, and other designated areas within the plant.
- Yard Maintenance: Maintain the exterior grounds including mowing, weed eating, cleaning the fence line, spraying weeds along the rail line, and assisting with snow removal as needed.
- Building Maintenance: Perform minor facility repairs such as painting, drywall patching, replacing light fixtures, repairing doors, and other general upkeep tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial, landscaping, or general maintenance roles preferred.
- Basic knowledge of facility repair techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Able to work in various environmental conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
