Job Description
Partner with teams to deliver tax services to Ventures & Acquisitions and Client Engagements for the Market Unit. This role will assist the V&A and Client Tax teams with managing deals to ensure tax objectives related to Accenture’s corporate transactions are achieved.
Accountabilities:
Tax Management:
• Support all phases of tax deals, including due diligence, post-merger integration, planning and coordination.
Develop Key Relationships:
• Work collaboratively with other Tax experts, Accenture project leadership teams and outside advisors to execute transactions, tax planning efforts and initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with other Accenture teams such as Accenture’s pricing teams, Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury and Internal Procurement.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage deal materials and tax databases, including creation and posting to deal folders on SharePoint and MS Teams
• Coordinate with vendors to clear conflicts, billing and purchase order set-up
• Coordinate virtual data room access for deals
• Review and post all applicable information (covering entity, individual/employment, and transaction taxes)
• Manage communications and deliverables regarding deal milestones and deal status.
• Track key deal milestones
• Review and validate compliance with internal Accenture processes and procedures.
• Utilize global tax tools and technology
• Tracking and coordination of tax step plans, including acquisition and integration steps
• Assist in managing strategic tax projects, including projects with other parts of the Tax group as necessary
Job Qualifications
• Tax experience with an understanding of tax issues and processes for Ventures & Acquisitions and client engagements.
• Experience ideally will include assistance in managing M&A deals and client engagements with a working knowledge of tax
• Outstanding teaming and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Keen attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather, assimilate, analyze and summarize information on transactions from multiple sources. Specifically, read, analyze, and interpret tax documents.
• Self-starter with the ability and confidence to work well in an unstructured, dynamic environment and ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks to completion
• Customer focused with ability to quickly respond to inquiries
Education BA Finance or Accounting
Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years' tax experience.
• Support for US M&A and Client Contracting tax experience in a multinational company or professional services firm environment.
