Position Summary
The Events Manager reports to the Director of Schools and Programs. The role of the Events Manager I is to plan and implement key events designed to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen alumni, parent, and friend ties to the University. Oversee or assist with all aspects of event planning.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage, and provide assistance as needed for special events in University Advancement programs for assigned schools and programs including but not limited to: Professorship installations, Distinguished Alumni Award dinners, and other events involving the schools and programs. Work with the Director, philanthropic strategy team, staff, faculty, alumni and students to facilitate engagement, cultivation and stewardship through program events.
- Oversee event planning related activities including but not limited to contract negotiations and management, event space reservations, collaboration with communications coordinator to create invitations, oversight of data for invitation lists, coordination and supervision of mail house projects, creation of timelines and seating plans, management of vendor relationships, assistance with talking points, and ownership of logistical plans and onsite logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
