Roles and Responsibilities
As the U.S. Licensing Manager, Regulatory Affairs, you will:
• Manage the licensing of new Gen III+ and Gen IV nuclear power plant licensing projects in the U.S.
• Manage U.S. Licensing Technical Leaders assigned to manage and drive the work assigned to multiple teams of licensing engineers and contractors within each project.
• Coordinate and prepare Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), including preparation of responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questions.
• Assist in the preparation of licensing applications for new Gen III+ and Gen IV nuclear power plants, including 10CFR50 Construction Permit and Operating License Applications and 10CFR52 Combined Operating License Applications.
• Prepare licensing documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR)
applications.
• Perform Technical Specification reviews and updates.
• Review and prepare Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) markups and revisions supporting various plant and fuel changes.
• Prepare and perform verification tasks for safety evaluations.
• Support customer 10 CFR 50.59 reviews, including preparation of Technical Safety Evaluation Reports and work with internal teams evaluating licensing status of various fuel, methods, and methodology changes.
• Interface with customers, internal stakeholders and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues, and to secure applicable permissions and approvals related to work scopes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, with a minimum of 9 years of related professional work experience including:
- 2-5 years of people management experience
- 5 years of commercial operating or new Gen III+ or Gen IV nuclear power plant licensing experience.
- 3 years of experience leading or independently completing complex projects and providing regulatory guidance / direction to contributing functions (i.e., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Analysis).
OR
Master's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, with a minimum of 7 years of related professional work experience including:
- 4 years of commercial operating or new Gen III+ or Gen IV nuclear power plant licensing experience.
- 2 years of experience leading or independently completing complex projects and providing regulatory guidance / direction to contributing functions (i.e., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Analysis)
• This position has strong preference for relocation to Wilmington, NC and work in the GEH office full time with remote work requiring approval, with the willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to customer and regulator
sites.
Desired Characteristics
• People Management experience in Regulatory Affairs or large engineering projects
• NRC Licensing process and regulatory knowledge / technical knowledge of one or more areas, such as nuclear fuel, operating plants, etc.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $127,900.00 and $245,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
