At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it.

As the Senior Compensation Analyst at Vanta, you will play a key role in ensuring our GTM teams are incentivized appropriately, leading to higher performance and alignment with our company's strategic objectives.

The GTM Compensation and Rewards team owns the design, implementation, and management of transparent and motivational GTM compensation programs that align with the company's strategic objectives. The plans drive optimal revenue generating behaviors, and reward outstanding performance, ensuring that our GTM professionals are equitably compensated for their contributions towards the organization's growth and success. Their focus is driving strong incentive structures and ensuring that payouts are accurate and timely.

What you’ll do as a Senior Compensation Analyst at Vanta:

  • Administer all GTM compensation plans within CaptivateIQ, ensuring calculations, components, crediting rules, and participant details are accurately configured and maintained.

  • Manage end-to-end monthly and quarterly payout processes, including data validation, calculation reviews, exception handling, and coordination with Finance and People teams to ensure timely and precise payouts.

  • Serve as the primary owner of compensation inquiries and escalations, resolving issues related to crediting, commissions, SPIFFs, and policy interpretation in a consistent and timely manner.

  • Monitor performance against plan by running routine audits and variance analyses to confirm alignment between sales activity, compensation rules, and resulting payouts.

  • Track, validate, and process all GTM SPIFFs and incentive programs, ensuring compliance with program rules and accurate allocation of incentive spend.

  • Maintain compensation system governance by ensuring CaptivateIQ reflects up-to-date roles, territories, quotas, eligibility changes, and plan assignments.

  • Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures for compensation administration, payout reviews, change management, and escalations to ensure consistency across all GTM teams.

  • Support new-hire ramp administration by managing ramp schedules, prorations, and plan eligibility updates to ensure equitable and accurate onboarding of all GTM sellers.

  • Partner cross-functionally with RevOps, FP&A, and GTM leadership to validate data sources, communicate payout timelines, and uphold compensation accuracy and transparency.

How to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales/GTM compensation/rewards, or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage large sets of data

  • Managed a compensation program for SaaS businesses and creating effective compensation plans for Enterprise B2B Software Account Executives and Account Managers

  • Prior experience managing a GTM compensation program with high volume of deals

  • Able to communicate effectively to the field and stakeholders to ensure the understanding of plans and handling of disputes

About Vanta

We started in 2018, in the wake of several high-profile data breaches. Online security was only becoming more important, but we knew firsthand how hard it could be for fast-growing companies to invest the time and manpower it takes to build a solid security foundation. Vanta was inspired by a vision to restore trust in internet businesses by enabling companies to improve and prove their security. From our early days automating security monitoring for compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 to creating the world's leading Trust Management Platform, our vision remains unchanged.

Now more than ever, making security continuous—not just a point-in-time check— is essential. Thousands of companies rely on Vanta to build, maintain and demonstrate their trust— all in a way that's real-time and transparent.
