Position Overview

The Autodesk Info360 Insight team is looking for a Senior Backend / Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale data-intensive, cloud-native systems that power modern water management workflows. This role is backend-focused with a strong emphasis on data engineering, system scalability, and cross-service integration. You will play a key role in improving data pipelines, system performance, and enabling reliable integration across multiple products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale cloud-native backend services and APIs on AWS

  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale, high-frequency data

  • Improve data ingestion, processing, and system performance, especially for near real-time user experiences

  • Own features end-to-end from design through production, including monitoring and reliability

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data flow, system performance, and service interactions

  • Collaborate across teams to enable seamless integration across multiple services and platforms

  • Work closely with AI/ML teams to productionize and integrate models into backend systems

  • Contribute to system design discussions and provide technical input in design and code reviews

  • Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality code

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years building and shipping large-scale backend systems in production

  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis or similar)

  • Experience with time-series data: storage, querying, or analytics at scale

  • Strong AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, DynamoDB)

  • Solid systems design skills across distributed and event-driven architectures

  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure: building systems that support model serving or integration

  • Experience with Snowflake or comparable data warehouse

  • Strong observability and production debugging experience

  •  Proven ability to collaborate and drive alignment across multiple team
