Technical Product Manager – Salesforce Commerce Cloud

About the Role

PAR is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, to own and drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, ensuring our digital commerce capabilities deliver measurable business value.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, UX, QA, and business stakeholders to translate complex business needs into prioritized backlogs, actionable user stories, and scalable technical solutions. This role is critical to the success of PAR’s global digital commerce initiatives and directly impacts customer experience, platform scalability, and long-term product strategy.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own and drive the Salesforce Commerce Cloud product roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with business goals and customer experience objectives

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define product vision, success metrics, and prioritized outcomes

  • Drive backlog prioritization based on business value, technical dependencies, and delivery capacity

  • Make informed trade-off decisions balancing scope, value, risk, and timelines

Technical Product Leadership

  • Translate business requirements into clear, technically sound user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architects and Developers to ensure solutions align with platform best practices and enterprise architecture standards

  • Guide decisions around configuration vs. customization, integrations, data models, and automation

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise integration patterns, API standards, security, and cloud strategies

  • Act as the escalation point for complex functional or technical product issues and drive them to resolution

Agile Delivery & Execution

  • Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery commitments

  • Ensure adherence to end-to-end SDLC processes, including design, development, testing, and release readiness

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery

  • Participate in release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation

Platform Health & Optimization

  • Ensure Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and performant

  • Partner with technical teams to prioritize platform enhancements, technical debt reduction, and operational improvements

  • Support continuous improvement of data integrity, system performance, and user experience

  • Assist stakeholders with documentation, training materials, and change enablement

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of experience working with CRM, eCommerce, or digital commerce platforms in technical or product-focused roles

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role supporting engineering-led teams

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) concepts, capabilities, architecture, and release lifecycle

  • Proven experience translating business requirements into prioritized backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Solid technical foundation in:

    • Platform and solution architecture

    • APIs, integrations, and middleware patterns

    • Data models, security, and performance considerations

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with engineering, UX, QA, and architecture teams

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating Commerce Cloud with Sales Cloud or Service Cloud

  • Exposure to headless or composable commerce architectures

  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms and middleware

  • Salesforce, SAFe, or Agile product certifications
