About the Job:

We are looking to welcome a new Global Application Support Scientist for mass spectrometry to join our team in Turku. The Global Application Support Team consists of top professionals providing high-level technical and scientific support to our customers globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to customer or field personnel enquiries regarding the reproductive health mass spectrometry products and related applications or their use, including troubleshooting, data analysis and technical guidance

  • Product and application training of customers, field application scientists, sales, distributors and service personnel

  • Site visits for higher level troubleshooting and training

  • Participating in new product development projects by bringing the voice of customer in the projects and by conducting evaluations of new products

  • Supporting the launch of new product introductions

  • Maintaining training laboratories and instrumentation

  • Participating in expert roles and collaborating with other internal functions, such as quality, R&D, business and manufacturing

  • Taking part in annual post marketing surveillance of mass spectrometry products

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biology

  • Experience in a similar role

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with mass spectrometry systems (triple quadruple)

  • A strong understanding of LC-MSMS workflows, experience with clinical applications of mass spectrometry

  • Experience in customer relationships

  • Customer focused problem solver mindset, strong project and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English, other language skills are considered as an advantage

  • Willingness to travel globally up to 30-40 %
