A Brief Overview
Carry out and facilitate Scrum events, removing impediments, promoting collaboration, supporting the Product Owner, and driving continuous improvement. Ensure the effective implementation of the Scrum framework, creating a conducive environment for the team's success, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

What you will do

  • Counsel scrum master teams on agile principles and values to support self-organization, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.

  • Interpret the agile metrics and reporting framework in order to track and report key information and monitor team progress.

  • Design and develop industry-leading process evaluation tools to assess the application of scrum principles in team processes.

  • Develop actionable insights from analytics and reports on team productivity, velocity, and quality.

  • Develop the stakeholder communication strategy to gather and incorporate feedback into process improvements.

  • Handle various responsibilities to facilitate the scrum process and support the scrum team.

  • Implement sharing and documentation systems to facilitate sharing through wikis, documentation platforms, or knowledge management tools.

  • Instruct team members on agile values, principles, and practices to help stakeholders and product owners understand the benefits of adopting an agile mindset.

  • Interface with teams, stakeholders, and external stakeholders to serve as a buffer to potential obstacles.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum principles with demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum teams.
  • Proven ability to coach teams, remove impediments, and lead Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills to work effectively with product owners, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience using Agile project‑management tools (e.g., Jira) to track team progress and maintain transparency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe certifications, PMP, or ITIL.
  • Advanced experience coaching multiple teams or driving Agile maturity across departments or organizations.
  • Skills in facilitation, conflict resolution, situational awareness, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience organizing and leading Agile training or Scrum adoption workshops.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
