The Opportunity 

The Group Portfolio Lead manages a regional group business portfolio within Specialty Personal Insurance, focuses on the group strategy, and contributes to Aviva’s priority to deliver growth at scale and achieve top-quartile profitability.

What you'll do:

  • Support the rate adequacy evaluation and manage profitable growth performance of all groups

  • Grow the number of clients in force by signing up and onboarding new groups; develop go-to-market tactics and strategies to penetrate existing groups.

  • Understand and report on regional results to keep PI partners informed on business objectives

  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholder including distribution partners, Actuarial and Underwriting 

  • Reflect the group segment perspective at the relevant tables, committees and projects, while always putting the interests of Aviva first and supporting decisions that reflect that One Aviva mindset

  • Propose and undertake project work to improve: Aviva Group Processes, Policies, Risk & Controls, Tactics and Execution

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma

  • In pursuit of industry certification(s)

  • 2+ years P&C Underwriting experience

  • Business analytics- using data to drive business decisions.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the full value chain of insurance including Underwriting and Ratemaking. 

  • Keen interest in challenging the status quo for constant evolution of our processes, ways of working to deliver on Aviva's ambitions

  • Digital and traditional marketing knowledge

  • Project management experience is an asset

  • Excellent communicator and a natural collaborator

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

  • Ability to extract and play with data is an asset
