Requirements and Nature of Work:

Requirements:

  • Must have taken Introduction to Epidemiology in last 2 years and received a high grade. Must have or purchase the required course textbook. Must have a deep understanding of the course material so that TAs can answer the students’ questions.

  • Must be proficient or able to learn how to use Brightspace including posting material, creating exams, and grading exams.

  • Must be able to help write and review new exam questions.

Nature of Work:

  • TA will need to be prepared by reviewing the material for each class (lecture, lab, and readings).

  • TA will attend an online weekly TA meeting with the instructor.

  • TA may be asked to use Brightspace to post material, create exams, and grade exams.

  • TA will help with writing and reviewing new exam questions.  

  • TA will keep track of attendance and participation. 

  • TA will attend class and answer students’ questions about the small group work and the exams.

  • TA will help to proctor exams and make-up exams.
