Essential Functions

Make sure the coil wire is the correct gauge for the wire that is going to be cut. Make sure dies are clean of debris to minimize scratches on wire. The dies should be cleaned throughout the run as needed to ensure scratching does not occur. Responsible for ensure pressure wheels should are adjusted properly for the gauge being ran. Responsible for Tape Measure should being checked, at a minimum, two times per shift to ensure proper measurements. Check shall be done at the start of each shift to reduce the chance of bad lengths. Make sure wire that is being cut must be straight, must be cut to the correct length, and the correct quantity is needed and must be free of scratches. Make sure cut wire that is placed on racks, bundles, tubs or any other containers must have the following information legibly written on the tag and a printed label produced from RFGEN: SAP #, quantity, gauge, date, length, operators printed initials and shift. The tag must be the appropriate color for the gauge. Making sure to leave at least two coils of wire on the stand. This will prevent the loose wire from causing harm to the employee or damage the equipment. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.  Comply with all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. Responsible for being a productive, proactive, and contributing team member in a fast paced environment. Adhere to all safety standards and company policies including attending mandatory safety training.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to operate simple hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, cut-off saws, scan guns, etc. Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, climb, and squat, for prolonged periods. Must have manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination. Ability to work levers, buttons, and/or foot pedals, simple gauges, and other instruments. A good attitude and common sense required. Must be a team player and work well with others. Able to understand and follow instructions/directions Must be able to work and concentrate in a noisy environment. Ability to wear protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, boots, respirators, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience

Must be able to pass a tape measure test given. Ability to read and write preferred.

Work Environment

Manufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature. Dusty and noisy environment. Exposure to odors and fumes.
