The opportunity

We are seeking a policy and Regulatory Content Lead to help strengthen Hitachi Energy’s strategic positioning as a global technology leader in the energy sector. You will craft and execute a thought leadership strategy that reflects the company’s technology and innovation leadership by providing valuable insights and positions.

You will lead the development of high-impact reports, position papers, and strategic publications that communicate technology trends, research findings, and policy/regulatory insights to a global audience, supporting the company’s influence and advocacy efforts and enhancing visibility across stakeholder audiences. You will collaborate with internal and external subject matter specialists, domain experts and analysts to craft compelling narratives that reinforce Hitachi Energy’s role in shaping the industry dialogue.

Reporting to the Global Head of Government and Institutional Relations, this role blends strategic insight, analysis, technology understanding, deep industry knowledge and storytelling, to produce content that will support Hitachi Energy’s communications, government and institutional positioning as well as presence across conferences and other external engagement.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Craft and execute a thought leadership strategy that showcases Hitachi Energy’s technology and innovation leadership, aligning with market trends and business objectives.

  • Lead the end-to-end development of strategic reports, position papers, and consultation responses—from planning and research to writing, editing, and publication.

  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to gather insights and create compelling, data-driven narratives that reinforce Hitachi Energy’s role in shaping industry dialogue.

  • Translate complex technical and regulatory content into clear, engaging, and accessible materials for diverse audiences, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and brand voice.

Your background

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy and Environmental Sciences, Journalism, or a related field.

  • 10–15 years of experience in the energy sector with a proven track record of producing high-quality reports, white papers, or publications.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into impactful narratives.

  • Excellent command of written English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Familiarity with global energy trends, technology advancements, and policy/regulatory developments.

  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and timelines, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
