About the Role

We are hiring a ​Client Retention Associate to support and grow our client retention efforts.​  This role focuses on maintaining strong client relationships, proactively addressing at-risk accounts and ensuring a high​ quality client experience throughout the life​ of the account. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support renewal efforts by addressing concerns, resolving issues and reinforcing Proper’s value

  • ​Handle objections and provide coverage comparisons

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, ​C​AM team and support

  • Maintain accurate notes and follow established retention workflows

  • Manage retention conversations with existing clients

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, customer support​ or sales

  • Strong communication skills and comfort handling difficult client conversations

  • Coachable and receptive to feedback

  • Highly organized ​and ​efficient with quick turnaround

  • ​Comfortable working in a fast-paced​ environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear reduction in avoidable cancellations and improved client satisfaction

  • Clients feel heard, supported and confident in continuing their relationship​ with Proper

  • Retention conversations are timely, professional and well documented

  • Strong partnership with retention team and Director of Retention

Compensation:

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: Total on-target earnings (OTE) for the position is $70,000-$80,000.  The expected salary is $70,000 with an annual bonus up to $10,000 annually and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages: health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
