Job Description
Position Overview: Responsible for strengthening safe operations, enhance product quality, and increase efficiencies by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, and equipment access. The CMMS Coordinator acts as liaison between Operations and Maintenance and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance work performed within the facility as well as add support to parts and receiving department and buyer.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Create, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning process flow.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of all required maintenance activities to create and publish a Master PM Plan for the facility to optimize and positively impact plant goals.
Work closely with maintenance supervisors and engineers,/planning to optimize labor and job coordination
Lead planning coordination meetings with maintenance and operations staff to review and alter maintenance plan
Execute on approved proposals by writing applicable procedures, purchasing necessary parts, equipment, and services, working with the Stock Room team to kit PM materials, and following up on completed projects.
Maintain accuracy of SAP/CMMS systems, job histories, and technical information
Ensures operations are completed in accordance with safety procedures.
Notifies buyer of discrepancies between items received and actual invoiced amount.
Issues all MRO items following written procedures.
Maintains required stock levels and prepares and submits requisitions for stock replenishment.
Completes required documentation for outbound repair items.
Generates reports using computer programs and maintains files.
Assists with transfer of MRO parts to other plants.
Acts as the backup buyer and performs buyer functions in the buyer’s absence.
Effectively communicates with all internal and external customers.
Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
Maintaining active equipment machine list and adding new as required.
Ensures all equipment has an active maintenance plan with relevant task lists.
Reviews work orders to ensure parts are being checked out and allocated to appropriate equipment for accurate spend tracking.
Ensures preventative maintenance activities are being completed on time and documented correctly with time confirmations in SAP. Collaborates with maintenance supervisors for accountability purposes.
Ensures that minimums and maximums are set and correct for required parts for accuracy of orders.
Utilizes maintenance reliability process principles to systematically plan and schedule maintenance orders and needs.
Able to identify critical parts for each piece of equipment and schedule orders according to proper min/max levels and project needs.
Identify obsolete inventory and find solutions for current equipment.
Ensure that STO tasks are completed and signed off in SAP for mold changes in the facility.
Ensure barcodes are present and accurate for all parts for efficiency in the check-out process.
Validate all CMMS access verification current to ensure appropriate access and usage
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience in an Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Materials role in a Manufacturing company
3 years of experience in Maintenance or Operations Planning
3 years MRP/ERP experience
Proficient in SAP CMMS module
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Aribia purchasing software
Valid driver’s license
Up to travel 10% during introductory period (first 6-12 months)
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical field
Hands-on experience working as Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a high speed/high volume manufacturing environment. Combinations of training, education and experience will be considered
Experience with data analytics and CI projects
