As an Operational Risk Analyst, you’ll be responsible for monitoring operational risk, scaling controls, and continuously enhancing our risk and control frameworks. Leveraging real-time data and AI tools, you’ll analyze controls and incident data at the source, identify emerging patterns, and proactively drive improvements to enable resilient, data-informed decision-making.

You’ll work on the trading floor in a fast-paced environment, engaging with stakeholders across the firm. This includes regular collaboration with Trading, Technology, Data Science, and other Risk & Control teams. The role is primarily focused on supporting the European business, while also contributing to the development of global risk capabilities in partnership with colleagues in the US and APAC regions.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Run control assurance cycles and conduct risk-based assessments of key business and technology processes.
• Oversee day-to-day incident management, performing data analysis and thematic reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks
• Lead and support incident reviews, including performing trend analysis.
• Develop dashboards and tooling, and enhance AI and data analytics capabilities for the team.

 

WHO YOU ARE

• 2+ years’ experience in a second-line operational risk role or related field.
• Experience in a similar area or sector, with basic knowledge of financial exchanges and instruments; prior experience in market making, algorithmic trading, or proprietary trading is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A mindset geared toward continuous improvement, with high standards for personal performance.
