We are looking for an experienced personality to enhance our Sales Team in Niel, Belgium as a Sales Engineer Benelux Food industry.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the sales of Coperion components for pneumatic conveying and weighing equipment in the food  industry in the assigned territory. Support the after sales services teams for components and dosing equipment.
  • Actively promote and acquire for all Business Units of the Coperion Group during regular customer visits.
  • Directly service assigned customers and have close contact to Project- and Process Engineers.
  • Responsible for achieving established company goals in the defined Business Units while acting in accordance with established policies.
  • Maintain good contact to the customers maintenance teams to assure the service requests and detect new projects in an early stage.
  • Communicate all relevant information to the headquarter and among sales colleagues.
  • Assist in establishing order intake statistics, budget & forecast figures.
  • Observe the market development and competitors, make recommendations to the management on potential new ways of growing our business.
  • Participate in trade shows and sales seminars for reps and customers and road shows, presentations etc.
  • Assist in collection of overdue accounts.
  • Closely monitor status of outstanding quotations and develop/implement strategy for closing the order.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all leads that are generated for respective territories and key accounts.
  • Willing to travel frequently in the region with short business trips abroad (approx. 60 - 70%).

Required experience and education:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales of capital goods for engineering of a highly technical product.
  • Master in Engineering, Mechanics, Chemicals, food Processing with affinity to the food process industry.
  • Knowledge of production processes employed within the, food and pharmaceutical industries is advantageous, experience in the industry of direct bulk material handling is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of selling process and marketing techniques.
  • Results-focused personality with vision, energy and flair and ability to work independent with regular consultation of management and sales teams.
  • Strong personality and good negotiator.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in preferable Dutch and English. French and German would be an asset.
