Overview:

Executive Assistant to the President, Acute Care

Sentara Health is seeking a proactive and experienced Executive Assistant to support the President of Acute Care. This is a critical role for a trusted partner who thrives in a fast-paced, executive environment and brings a high level of professionalism, discretion, and organizational excellence.

Position Summary
The Executive Assistant will optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the President by managing complex administrative and strategic support functions. This individual serves as a key liaison, ensuring seamless communication, prioritization, and execution of priorities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage complex calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate and prepare for executive meetings, including materials and follow-ups
  • Handle correspondence, calls, and sensitive communications with professionalism and discretion
  • Control access to the executive and prioritize competing demands
  • Support and participate in key projects and initiatives
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address challenges to maximize executive effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years supporting executive-level leaders (C-suite or senior leadership preferred)
  • High school diploma
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency
  • High level of discretion handling confidential information
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and calendar management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
