Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Supply Support Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.  The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

Accountabilities:

Support Activities:

*Ensure an efficient issuing of purchase request on projects or indirect activities

*Ensure an efficient issuing of Service Entry Sheets/ Progress Report (for materials, services, packages, and purchase orders

*Ensure the proper data migration of the technical data from Teamcenter to SAP

*Ensure the shipping documents preparation in alignment with the due dates agreed with other departments/supply chain Planner

Support Activities for Component order Small Packages/Projects:

*Ensure external cost planning and forecast for materials, services, and packages during the project execution in collaboration with cost controlling department

*Ensure the project material delivery in accordance with the project plan

*Ensure the "launch of production" on the basis of project requirements (transfer orders, purchase orders) in alignment with the project schedule

*Ensure the issuing of the purchase requests for all materials, external services, packages to ensure project on time delivery

NPI activities:

- work as part of NPI team to manage all material ordering and tracking.

- pull doc packages for "draft" parts for procurement quoting. Check material availability in project stock to see if parts are available. If not - place material request. Enter expense req's for "draft" material when quote is received.

- gather doc packages for NPI lab to begin assembly,

- enter labor work orders for NPI lab

- track all ordering of materials and costing and provide to process engineering to help with datalog processing

Required skills/experience:

Supply Chain Internship experience or 6 months of experience in a Supply Chain related role

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain related field or equivalent

Language:

English proficiency
