OIS Field Service Representative

Varian is the world’s largest manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions with radiotherapy, radiosurgery, proton therapy and brachytherapy. We are looking for an Information System Support Engineer who will be the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customers regarding Oncology network.

Main functions are:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair all VMS equipment, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per VMS guidelines.
  • Support of incoming customer calls.
  • Assessment of urgent customer requests and follow-through to completion.
  • Ability to understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain strong customer relationships through the use of strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reporting according to VMS procedures.

For this challenging key position, the requirements are

  • Knowledge of and professional experience with server software and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of and professional technical experience with micro-computers/PC based systems.
  • Knowledge in virtualized server environments.
  • Knowledge in Citrix managed applications.
  • Network analysis test equipment.
  • Customer focused attitude.
  • Ability to learn.
  • Self-motivation. Well organized.
  • Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Catalan and Portuguese will be a plus.
