Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $99,000.00 - $165,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Central Dispatch is searching for a Lead Project / Program Manager to oversee multiple overlapping in-flight programs and project spanning across Business Operations, Product, Technology, and customer-facing delivery. You’ll be joining a team responsible for executing on the business’s strategy as part of a multi-year transformation. You will own complex, cross-functional programs and projects that shape the future of the company, driving strategic initiatives that span multiple years and business units. In addition to program and project delivery, you will play a key role in maturing and operationalizing governance frameworks and ways of working (steering committees, process governance, etc.). In this position, you will engage directly with members of our leadership team and coordinate efforts across various teams and external vendors to fulfill stated objectives.

What You'll Do:

  • Independently lead and coordinate programs and projects from design through delivery.

  • Serve as Program or Project Manager for cross-functional teams comprised of members across operations, product and technology, other business unit, and third-party vendors and partners.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and success criteria for initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

  • Develop and maintain core project artifacts including business cases, program charters, project plans, risk assessments, stakeholder assessments, communication plans, and status reports.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, proactively managing expectations and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Drive decision-making and ensure on-time delivery of defined deliverables.

  • Identify and manage dependencies across concurrent initiatives, coordinating shared resources and sequencing activities to optimize delivery.

  • Manage external vendor and partner relationships related to project delivery, including contract oversight and performance management.

  • Play a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools to ensure effective project management and success.

  • Define, implement, and consult on project management standards and processes for relevant teams or projects.

  • Support change management activities to drive adoption and minimize disruption during transitions.

  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on overall status, challenges, changes, risks, and delivery.

  • Ensure the financial health of programs by preparing budgets, forecasting expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions in partnership with Finance and leadership.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and inform continuous improvement.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6years’ experience; or 12 years’ experience in a related field with no degree.  

  • 5+ years of program management experience managing large-scale strategic or transformational programs. 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, prepare advisory materials, facilitating decisioning and prioritization conversations, and influencing without direct authority. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certifications: PgMP, PfMP, Prosci/ADKAR, SAFe, or equivalent

  • Experience in large-scale multi-year business transformations

  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects in varying stages of implementation while adhering to timelines, quality standards, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams.
