In this role you will lead the Sales, Service and Project Execution organization of ABB’s Critical Power Business Line in Switzerland and Austria. You will be accountable for overall business performance, strategy implementation and challenging growth targets achievement and will be reporting into the Critical Power, Regional, Sales and Service and Project Execution Leader.

You’re main responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing and implementing the Critical Power business line  
  • commercial strategy (sales, tendering, project execution and services) in the relevant countries and evaluating market opportunities and deploying appropriate actions in alignment with Business Line’s objectives.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. channels, end-users, consultants, suppliers) to ensure commercial success and improve customer satisfaction in the relevant countries. Additionally, working closely with relevant Business Line functions (Project Management, Services, Operations) to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensuring pre-sales, tendering, system engineering and product marketing functions are properly staffed and aligned with Business Line requirements across country.
  • Delivering projects on schedule/quality/cost and in alignment with ABB’s project management frameworks as well as managing after-sales support and overall service business in the region in alignment with Business Line objectives.

 

Your background: 

  • Postgraduate degree or above, in Business or Engineering field. MBA preferred. 
  • 15+ years of experience in UPS industry or Data Center Industry. Furthermore, wide network across data center and semiconductor industry as well as IT channels.
  • Solid influencing skills working across functions, geography, and segments as well as experience in managing large local/regional high-performance organizations and implementing change in a matrix organization.
  • Familiar with tendering, commissioning and project management processes.
  • Previous experience in electric (High, Medium Low Voltage Products and Systems) and automation industry. therefore, familiar with tendering, commissioning and project management processes.
  • Understanding of mission critical segments: Data Center, Semiconductor, Infrastructure, Utility Knowledge of the industry, local governmental requirements, today’s global market conditions, full awareness of the sales function technicalities/methodologies, usage of SAP and other modern day smart tools, and how to use them to serve business and customer requirements. 
  • Fluent written and oral communications in English and German as well as willingness to travel 25%
