Position Overview
As Director of Finance you will be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer ANZ and Managing Director ANZ and their leadership team. You’ll lead a high-performing Finance function, drive accountability across the organisation, and transform data into actionable insights that underpin growth in our fast-paced payments technology business. You will own the end-to-end planning, forecasting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, clarity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, mentor and coach FP&A analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous learning
- Define clear career paths, conduct regular performance reviews and implement targeted training plans
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Own the annual plan and three-year strategic plan for ANZ (Revenue, Operating Income, CAPEX, Headcount)
- Own the annual plan and three-year strategic plan for ANZ (Revenue, Operating Income, CAPEX, Headcount)
- Manage the quarterly formal forecasting cycle; drive informal monthly forecasts and weekly estimates
- Ensure business-unit owners submit timely, defensible inputs; challenge assumptions and validate drivers
Management Reporting & Analysis
- Design, develop and maintain a best-in-class monthly reporting pack for the Managing Director, ANZ
- Ensure APAC and Corporate reporting and requests are completed on time
- Enhance weekly and monthly scorecards, dashboards and KPI reports to surface trends, risks and opportunities
- Provide incisive commentary on performance variances and recommend actionable initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement and Business Partnering
- Act as the primary finance liaison to business leads, facilitating planning workshops, alignment sessions and ad-hoc deep dives
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear presentations for senior leadership
- Provide business partners with clear and succinct financial and commercial guidance
- Support month-end close activities in partnership with Accounting APAC Finance teams
- Support Sales Incentive Planning and performance measurement in partnership with Sales Heads and APAC Sales Operations
- Collaborate on business cases, M&A analysis and transformational initiatives, quantifying short and long-term P&L impacts
Process Improvement & Governance
- Champion FP&A governance standards, controls and documentation across ANZ
- Identify, lead and execute process automation and system enhancement projects, including the adoption of AI
- Embed driver-based modelling techniques to accelerate cycle times and improve forecast accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree or CA/CPA qualification strongly preferred
- 12+ years of post-degree experience in FP&A, corporate finance or financial analysis roles, ideally within payments, technology or financial services
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership with proven experience in driving business outcomes and building motivated teams
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience and track record in using and deploying AI and other automation tools to drive efficiency
- Exceptional analytical and financial‐modelling skills; advanced Excel proficiency
- Expert user of OLAP and forecasting tools ( SAP BPC preferred)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication; adept at influencing senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead change and embed continuous‐improvement practices in a dynamic environment
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to build credibility across diverse teams
